Position : Full-time, Permanent.
Hours : 20 - 40 per week.
Pay : $23.00 per hour.
Languages : Must be fluent in English (Oral and written) . Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
As a Patient Transfer Attendant you will be responsible for the transfer of patients via Stretcher and BRODA (reclining wheelchair).
Must Be:
- Physically Fit
- Caring and compassionate individual
- Able to work under minimal supervision
- Clean Driving & Vulnerable Sector Criminal record check - (Must provide)
- Able to lift bariatric patient (minimum 250 LBS with Partner) - Lift test required for stretcher transportation
- Legally allowed to work in Canada
- Having experience within Non-Urgent Patient Transfer service (asset)
Responsibilities :
- Safely transport patients to and from medical facilities while ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Assist patients with mobility and provide necessary support during transfers.
- Maintain accurate records of patient transfers and communicate effectively with healthcare staff.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including CPR and First Aid procedures.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and equipped for patient transport.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Must wear company supplied uniform and ID badge at all times during paid shiftwork.
- Always maintain the confidentiality of the business information and patients.
Experience :
- Medical Transportation: 1 year (Asset)
- Working in the Healthcare industry (Asset)
License/Certification :
- G driver’s license (F Class preferred)
- Current Clean Driving Record / Driver's Abstract (required)
- Must provide a current & clean vulnerable sector check (Criminal Background check)
- Valid Standard First Aid with CPR, AED & O2 Certification
